It’s a wrap! October 2020

Launching a company in the middle of the coronavirus crisis might be one of the crazier things I’ve done in my life. Yet having a new project to work on helps keep up the positive spirit.

With the New Standard.Studio, Max and I founded a consultancy and a design studio to help companies become more sustainable.

With my background in interior architecture and communications and trainings in sustainability, I’m finally closing a circle that might help many more people live a more sustainable life.

Take this:

By helping companies design a more sustainable environment, we help individuals live more sustainably without them having to make an effort.

We educate people and design systems that make it easy to do things better.

And we help companies live up to their value of sustainability, which might be communicated as a corporate value but is usually overshadowed by the so-called value-action-gap. It’s a win, win, win really because companies become more authentic and people behave more sustainably, which has an impact on the use of the world’s resources because it means behavioral change happens for a larger group of people – not just a single human being trying to change something by themselves.

One of the first projects we started working on is a planner for office managers that will be filled with sustainability and digitalization tips. We’ve interviewed office managers from companies such as Coya, bunq, Sharpist, and Zalando to get their insights on how they organize themselves so we could design a planner that’s not just beautiful but also useful to office managers.

Additionally, we’re still looking for sustainable companies that want to support this project. So, if you’d like to help us get the planner printed, please get in touch.
