It’s a wrap! June 2020

Do you know those months when you have X projects running but nothing seems to get anywhere closer to the home stretch.

I was planning to have the first season of my podcast finished by the end of May. However, just finishing the scripts took more than six weeks. And then I still hadn’t recorded anything. Plus, and as you know, I’m usually writing these updates after the month is over, so even now in July, the podcast’s still in the making. Good things take time, they said, and I hope they’re right.

I do feel lucky, nevertheless, for having felt incredibly inspired to write and create lately. But as it sometimes is the bursts of inspiration haven’t translated into results as fast as I’d have liked to see them.

I also found a summer program on Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge that I signed up for and that will start in July! Hurray!

Over the past few years, I’ve worked a lot on projects helping companies upskill their digital knowledge and I’ve worked with sustainable businesses on their strategy and communications.

I’d love to combine these two passions going forward in my career.

Working on marketing for sustainable businesses is great; however, what’s with all the ones that aren’t open to the possibilities of sustainable change just yet? (Can we change that?)

I find it’s a fascinating field. Thus, the program and what I hope it will lead to is very exciting indeed.

You might have seen my article on sustainable ideas for workspaces, and I think it’s a good starting point to drive sustainable change. If you’d like to discuss sustainability in your workspace, I’d love to have that conversation. Just please reach out.

As always, I like to use these monthly updates to give you an overview of the projects I’m working on. While I’m sitting behind my screen until late each night, it’s not like there are that many paid projects occupying my agenda at the moment. (Yes, it could be more. Yes, you could text me. Yes, I’d love to hear from you.)

I’m currently finishing up a rollout strategy for the rebranding of the Open European Dialogue (formerly Mercator European Dialogue), which is an initiative of the German Marshall Fund. I’ve also facilitated a couple of trainings on Hootsuite on behalf of Target Internet. And, last but not least, I’ve contributed to a discussion on communities to which I was invited by the hospitality consultancy HoCoSo.

Please let me know if you have any projects; whether you want to discuss sustainability, upskilling, or need help with your communication and localization in Germany or Austria, I’m happy to help.
