It’s a wrap! December 2025

Has anyone ever talked about how incredibly challenging it is to move a family from one country to another? The amount of bureaucracy involved is immense.

I’ve moved between countries several times before, and I’m grateful for that experience because it helped me orchestrate a fairly smooth, budget-friendly move. (Can I put that on my CV, anyone?!)

Once we registered in Haarlem, we also immediately registered with the KVK. My official business start date will be January 1, 2026. And while it may sound cheesy – given that I wrote the book This Year Will Be Different back in 2015 – it seems the coming year will once again be very different from the last few.
