It’s a wrap! September 2025
My main focus this past month was Vollpension. After successfully wrapping up two crowdfunding campaigns to find the first 500 regulars in both Graz and Salzburg, we finally pushed the crowd investing campaign live.
Anyone who has run a crowdfunding campaign knows that it’s far harder to find many people who contribute a little than it is to find fewer people who contribute significantly larger amounts. For me, however, launching a crowdfunding campaign ahead of the crowd investing campaign was a strategic decision. I wanted clear social proof that both cities were ready for a concept like Vollpension. Additionally, after seeing so many hospitality businesses go bust in recent years, starting with a community rather than large capital investments simply made more sense from a business perspective.
I’m glad the crowd investing campaign is finally live.
Having closed the chapter of family planning, I dedicated a large portion of my time in 2025 to upskilling. With a B1 Dutch certificate in my pocket, I decided to continue my learning journey ahead of our move to the Netherlands. I’ve enrolled in B2.1 with UVAtalen and am really looking forward to pushing myself even further.
On top of that, I’ve enrolled in The Circular Economist course and signed up for UGREEN classes, which focus fully on sustainability and circularity in architecture and public space design. Having access to all these diverse, future-oriented impulses makes me feel forward-looking and mostly optimistic about what’s ahead – and I love that.
